The famous French pantyhose manufacturer Gerbe Paris was established by Stephan Gerbe in 1904. Known for quality, tradition, perfection and elegance, brand Gerbe has been relied upon for ladylike glamour in stockings as much by women the world over as by top designers like Christian Dior, Christian Lacroix, Chanel, Thierry Mugler and Paco Rabanne for their catwalks.

The label Gerbe was in family possession for about 80 years until the May fo 2003 when ownership changed hands to the Rhovyl group, which too is recognized as an important manufacturer of industrial yarns, textile yarn in particular.
