Following the course of a glorious 80 years of history, French brand Le Bourget today stands as a global name that women rely upon for stylish and modern solutions in stockings. It was back in 1924 that Jean-Pierre Saltiel founded Le Bourget with only 12 workers. Soon, he chose to relocate to Fresnoy Grand to benefit from the local know-how about knitting.
However, it was not until 1927 that the company decided to go by the brand name, Le Bourget. Its interesting to note that at about the same time, the world was witnessing the first crossing of the Atlantic by plane, and the pilot Lindberg made the landing at the Le Bourget airport and Jean-Pierre Saltiel found the name to be inspirational.
For decades to follow, Le Bourget continued to present to the world gorgeous stockings and tights. In fact, the brand is particularly appreciated for the pantyhose its crafts. In 1995, the Le Bourget, which until now had been a family business, was acquired by the Lyon Group and it continues to rule the hearts of the fashion-conscious all over the world.
